Mammukka's 'Mythri'
bus is running in first place among the
movies released for Christmas. The movie
has acquired record collection in all
releasing centres across Kerala.
After
his extra ordinary performance in 'Rajamanikyam',
Mammootty takes the role of an ideal
family man, a caring brother, a loving
son, and much more, in this latest success
story, "Bus Conductor". |

Sulthan
Veettil Kunjakka, is the owner and conductor of
the bus 'Mythiri'. When the other private buses
compete with each other and over speed, avoiding
school children, Kunjakka is a role model. He is
the favourite of all the travellers, especially
school children. The first half of the movie
portrays the competitions, disputes, arguments,
and even encounters which occur in the private bus
sector, which is a re-presentation of the
realistic life. |

The
second half focuses on Kunjakka's personal
life. A strong fan of Baburaj, Kunjakka
has inherited talents of music. "Prana
sakhi njan verumoru paamaranam pattu karan"
is Kunjakka's masterpiece. Kunjakka is no
super hero but he reacts boldly against
injustice, giving prominence for action in
the movie. Kunjakka is an ideal family
man, bearing the responsibilities and
burdens of the whole family. His younger
sister Selina, who is a heart patient, is
Kunjakka's most priority. Kunjakka's
biggest dream is her cure, and her
marriage. |

The
story, which is a combination of
sentiments and action, has importance for
romance as well. Noorjahan (Nikhita), a
teacher of Sivapuram school, is a regular
traveller in Kunjakka's Mythri bus. Though
she is from the wealthy 'Aravankara'
family, she is always enthusiastic to do
good for the society. Initially in
opposing terms, the relationship between
Kunjakka and Noorjahan gradually develops
into good friendship at first. Inbetween
the bus journeys, Noorjahan fall for
Kunjakka. |

Majeed
bhai (Innocent), Kunjakka's
brother-in-law, once again proved himself
in character role. Najeeb (Jayasoorya) is
Kunjakka's elder sister's son. With
similar musical talents like Kunjakka,
Najeeb performs well on the tabla. He is
in love with Suganthi (Bhavana). Their
romance is a turning point in the story.
Ashokan and Kalpana, contributes to the
comedy scenes in the movie. S.I. Sajan
Geogre (Aadityan) appearing in the
negative role, has performed well. |
