The
long wait is over. The Battle has begun. A daring

malayalee audience by storm. Balram Vs Tharadas -

Sashi and Mammootty rejoin after almost 15
years, to bring out this mega movie.
Mammootty appears in a double role,
recreating his own two ever green
characters - Inspector Balram and Tharadas.
The police officer "Balram" was
widely accepted in the movies of "Avanashi"
and the title role of "Inspector
Balram". "Tharadas" who
appeared as a smugler in "Athirathram",
is coming back as an International
Underworld King, having business networks
in London, Dubai, etc. The smart
investigative officer "Balram",
who was a Circle Inspector in "Aavanashi"
now enters as a DYSP.
Balram
is a shrewd police officer who is adamant
to enforce the law, without fearing the
consequences, while Tharadas has a
smuggling empire backed with political as
well as money power. |

The clash of these
extreme characters forms the core of the
film. DYSP Balram, nicknamed ‘Karadi
Balu’ investigates a case in which
weapons are found in a medical college. He
finds out that the International criminal
Tharadas is behind the plot. Inorder to
trace Tharadas, DYSP Balram takes into
custody, actress Supriya, the ladylove of
the underworld don. The smuggler does come
out but things fail to work as planned.
Balram realizes that Tharadas is strong
enough to match him. The two equally
powerful roaring lions begin thier
encounter against each other, to over
power the other. |

The movie brings Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif to Malayalam films for the first time. She plays the role of Tharadas’ girlfriend Supriya. The supporting cast comprises of Mukesh, Jagadesh, Siddique, Kalpana, Vani Vishwanath, etc.
Script
writers T. Damodaran and S N Swamy have handled the story, script and dialogues while Sajeev Shankar has the camera.Jazzy Gift does the music and has some sizzling numbers in the film. Kaithapram handles the lyrics.
